Prym VARIO Creative Tool

Prym’s revolutionary Vario Creative tool is the crafters dream when it comes to decorating jeans with rivets, attaching press fasteners to baby clothes, punching out holes for a hoodie cord and adding eyelets; as well as everything in between. With the VARIO Creative Tool, Prym’s wide range of non-sew products can be processed easily and effortlessly.

The ergonomic handle with soft-touch surface means that the handle of the VARIO Creative tool is comfortable and non-slip in the hand. It has both lengthwise and crosswise measurement ability, and with the plastic feet it will stand secure on your work surface. If you’re still concerned about movement during use, the table clamp is the ideal optional extra.

The simplicity in handling due to less effort and the effortless change between the different tools create smooth transitions in your working process.

Lift the handle
Insert the punching tool
Position the fabric and lower the handle
Apply light pressure to punch the fabric
Insert the Tool Set (eg. Eyelets, Rivets, etc)
Insert the correct fastener for the inserted Tool Set
Position the fabric with fastener in place and lower the handle
Lift the handle and remove the fabric, with fastener attached.

Can I get a starter kit with all the bits?

The Prym VARIO Creative Tool, comes with the small piercing tools, but the Tool Sets and Consumables are sold separately.

But why?

If we think of the VARIO Creative Tool like a Drill, then it starts to make sense.
Like the VARIO Creative Tool, a Drill is multifunctional. You can drill different size holes, in different types of materials, but for each job you need a different drill bit (Tool Set).

There are also thousands of different types of screws (fasteners/consumables).

The Prym VARIO Creative Tool is no different. There are Tool Sets and Consumables for each job, and they can all be attached using the same Tool.

The “Anorak” non-sew press fasteners are perfect for jackets, anoraks, dresses, skirts, bags and fine leather materials, thanks to their medium fastening strength. The special feature is the bronze spring wire (S spring), which guarantees smooth opening and closure.

The Prym “Jersey” press fasteners are characterised by their easy to medium fastening strength and are especially intended for thin and stretch fabrics, as are often used in baby’s and children’s clothing. The advantage of this press fastener is that no hole has to be punched for mounting – rather the integrated serrated ring only presses down the fabric so that it is protected.
These stainless steel fasteners are safe for washing and ironing, and are available in a variety of colours to match your fabric.

Prym’s colourful “Color-Snaps” press fasteners are a beautiful and easy way to decorate clothes, bags, phone pouches and more. These popular snaps are available in a range of bright colours, and are made from sturdy plastic and fasten easily, making them ideal for baby and children’s clothing. They also come in a variety of shapes, including; round, heart, stars, flowers, and even sewn-on effect. Washable at 60°C, and removable using the Prym Colour Snaps Removal Tool.

Please note, Colour Snaps Press Fasteners cannot be attached using the Tripod or Striking Tool, with Crafters Hammer.
